1.  ECO ARTS FESTIVAL ~ CHESHIRE, UK
October 8-9, 2005 ~ Cheshire, UK Inspired by Nature - An Eco Arts Festival is a two day ecological education festival using a blend of literature, music, theatre and visual art as a way of engaging or reconnecting children and adults with the natural world. Festival-goers will be able to take part in creating a life-scale willow sculpture of a family of European bison, attend various seminars and lectures, and generally have fun whilst learning about the natural history of the British Isles and Europe.

8.  WATER'S JOURNEY: THE RIVER RETURNS
New environmental web documentary "Water's Journey: The River Returns" is an in-depth exploration of the St. John's watershed, threats to the river and efforts to clean it up. A companion to the television documentary to be released later this year through Jacksonville public television station WJCT and the National Educational Telecommunications Association, “Water’s Journey: The River Returns” is part of the award-winning “Water’s Journey” series directed by Wes Skiles of Karst Productions based in High Springs, Florida.

9.  NEW ANIMAL PLANET PROGRAM: BACKYARD HABITAT
New Discovery Channel Animal Planet program called "Backyard Habitat" premiered on August 15th and is showing weekdays through September 2005. This half-hour show builds on the 30-year long, ongoing National Wildlife Federation Backyard Wildlife Habitat program that teaches people to "make the planet a better place for animals — one back yard at a time."

13.  ENVIRONMENTAL JEOPARDY
Earth Day Network (EDN) has created the first two in a series of three interactive games on environmental issues. Designed like the game show, each edition of Environmental Jeopardy focuses on a specific environmental theme with in-depth answers and suggestions for how to conduct further research. Both available editions can be downloaded for free by registering on the Teachers Corner of the EDN website, www.earthday.net. All new members get a hard copy of the original edition along with the official game board.
