Arjen Wals
Arjen Wals is an Associate Professor within the Department of Social Sciences of the Wageningen University in the Netherlands, specializing in environmental education, participation, communication and interactive policy making. His current research interests include: making biodiversity and sustainability meaningful through education; communication and citizen participation; the role of conflict in environmental and social change; and, the integration of sustainability in higher education. He has served as president of Caretakers of the Environment International and as the president of the Special Interest Group on Ecological and Environmental Education of the American Educational Research Association (AERA).
Justin Dillon
Justin Dillon is a Lecturer in Science Education in the Department of Education and Professional Studies at King's College London and a member of the Centre for Informal Learning and Schools (CILS), an NSF-funded Center for Teaching and Learning involving King's, UC Santa Cruz and the Exploratorium, San Francisco. He specialises in the areas of environmental education, teacher development and science education. Dr. Dillon currently co-directs King's contribution to the EU-funded Pan European Centre for Informal Learning (PENCIL). He served as the president of the Special Interest Group on Ecological and Environmental Education of the American Educational Research Association and is Chair of the London Wildlife Trust.
