Theme: Continuing the Dialogue: Our Work and Accomplishments

The NAAEE Research Commission is pleased to invite you to Albuquerque, New Mexico for the Second Annual NAAEE Pre-Conference EE Research Symposium. It is our hope that the symposium will help facilitate discussion and collaboration among active and prospective EE researchers and students from around the world.

The meeting will provide opportunities for continuing our discussions from the previous year's research meeting. As researchers, we are actively engaged in research programs and evaluation studies that range from quantitative and mixed methods approaches, through a number of qualitative traditions (such as ethnography, phenomenology, narrative/autobiography, participatory action research) and perspectives from interpretive and critical to postmodern, feminist, gendered and cultural studies. All research perspectives are welcome!

The annual research symposium, unlike the more practitioner-oriented sessions of the general NAAEE conference and the associated pre-conference workshops, will focus on research discussions by and for researchers. In addition to a supportive forum of exchange, we hope to continue to establish a basis for ongoing networks, links and projects of mutual interest in EE research results, methods and methodologies.
