Carly Hintz is the Educational Technology & Evaluation Specialist for Riveredge Nature Center in southeastern Wisconsin. In this role, she finds ways to integrate new media tools to enhance learning, as well as create ways to measure program effectiveness and participant impact among students and visitors of Riveredge. She is a Wisconsin native, and spends much of her time hiking, photographing, riding horses, and growing food. Although she recently took a five year hiatus to work in environmental science field in the state of Florida, her public education comes from Wisconsin where she recently received her M.S. in Environmental Education from UW-Stevens Point. Prior to that, she graduated from UW-Madison with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts and certificate in Environmental Studies from the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies.
