Author seeking help--nocturnal animals

Hello friends,

I am a children's author, currently working on a nonfiction picture book about nocturnal animals. Arbordale, my publisher, always includes "back matter"--activities and facts for children and families-- in the backs of their books. They will do a section on nocturnal vs diurnal animals in this one, or course, but they have asked me for further ideas of what would be appropriate and related in that section. I thought I would ask you if you have any ideas of things you would like to communicate to children related to this topic. If so, if you could message me, it would be most appreciate!

Joseph Bruchac and Michael J. Caduto have written many wonderful books from a Native American perspective, which provide stories, ecological and cultural knowledge, and activities for children. Their book Keepers of the Night: Native American Stories and Nocturnal Activities for Children, includes ways for children to interact with the night, and also includes nocturnal animals. I think this book could give you some inspirational ideas for your work. Other books from these authors include diurnal animals.
