Hello! Does anyone happen to know if there is a direct contact for the United Nations SDG Bookclub? I have some questions. Also are there any other affiliates participating and hosting a bookclub in their state? I'd love to hear how you have organized it and how it is going. I was not able to get a hold of the UN SDG Bookclub directly to ask my questions, so we are just going for it.
AAEE is officially partnering with Maricopa County Libraries to run this club. Their acquisitions team will be purchasing at least one copy of each of the books in the book club listing. And they will be creating special kits that the libraries could use to have a special story time. They like the idea of the zero hungry books as part of their library food drive.
In addition, AAEE will be hosting a virtual book club on Facebook open to all. I’ll post more when we hash out the final details.. It should launch on Oct 1, 2019.
If you have any further information about what SDG is most closely linked to EE that would be helpful for us to emphasize those particular months during this book club for all 17 UN SDG’s.

Arizona Association for Environmental Education is launching our Better World Book Club to support the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
We want you to join us in participating in our reading community to learn more about environmental education.
Anyone can join the FB Group!
Starting October 1, 2019 the Arizona Association for Environmental Education will be selecting one book each month from a reading list geared towards children ages 6-12.
This virtual Facebook Group Book Club is hosted by the AAEE with support from Maricopa County Library District. The reading list contains fiction, non-fiction, and other genres aimed to help educate children and adults about the 17 principles of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The SDGs are a plan to build a better world for people and our planet by 2030.
SDGs are a blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. These goals recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health, education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth–all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
