Let's connect around climate change education at NAAEE2022!

Hi everyone, we are really looking forward to meeting many of you in Tucson as we near our first ‘in-person’ NAAEE conference in a few years.

On Saturday, October 15, we will be presenting a symposium session focused on the effectiveness of climate change education and local actions of children for global change.

We're also excited to connect with you at the conference! Are you a K–12 educator teaching climate change education? What local climate action education efforts are you a part of?

Please share below and let's chat!

Looking forward to learning and sharing with you.

All the best,
Donna and Sheri
K–12 eePRO Group Moderators

Yes, I plan to attend the symposium on Saturday in Tucson. As a board member of the Michigan Alliance for Environmental and Outdoor Education, it is my intention to bring a report back to our members here in Michigan summarizing my attendance at the conference.

Hi, everyone. Thanks, Donna, for your post! I'll be attending, looking forward to chatting with you all, and (shameless plug), we (the Center for Behavior and Climate) will be providing a hands-on session on our K-12 climate science and solutions courses on Sat. Oct 15th 8:30-10am. Our courses are currently free, one class period long, you can mix and match topics, and they are associated with a short video to start. The National Science Teachers Association posted about our courses this summer. See https://www.nsta.org/resources/field-freebies-and-opportunities-science-...

Hi Carolyn, that's just terrific. I remember hearing about your great work during our brown bag session last year. Our symposium session "Empowering Children for Global Climate Change Through Local Action" is scheduled for 10:30-12 on the 15th, directly following your hands-on activity. It would be great if you could join us and share some outcomes. See you in Tucson. All best Donna
