COVID Waste and Sustainability

Discarded single-use masks and gloves is all too common a sight on sidewalks and in parking lots during the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has generated enormous amounts of waste in the form of personal protective equipment (PPE) which now poses an environmental problems as these disposable items make their way into the landscape and waterways. What creative methods is your community or organization using to reduce or recycle PPE or other pandemic-generated waste?
