Avian Education Internship

REGI is looking for 2 hardworking, energetic, flexible, and fun interns with a passion for teaching for the summer of 2016. The intern’s main responsibilities will include assistance in avian training and handling, feeding, observing avian behavior, and participating in outreach programs and tours. Training will be provided for all these areas. Interns are expected to work long hours. Most days will be a normal 8-hours, but when multiple programs are scheduled longer days will be required. Interns will have 1 day off per week.
Qualifications: Intern should have a strong interest in avian education and care. Candidates should be pursuing a degree in environmental education, wildlife education, captive wildlife, biology, or closely related field. Other fields of interest will be considered.
Dates: Mandatory orientation date May 23, 2017. Internships continue through the end of August. Ending date is flexible.
Housing: This is an unpaid internship, but on site housing will be provided by the Raptor Education Group, Inc.
