Job Description:

The BOLD (Boys Outdoor Leadership Development) & GOLD (Girls Outdoor Leadership Development) Program is dedicated to inspiring courage and confidence in diverse groups of adolescent girls and boys through outdoor adventures. We run, primarily, single gender trips in the Blue Ridge Mountains, with trips based out of Greensboro, NC. Activities include backpacking, art, music, literature, cooking and goofing off!

Primary Responsibilities:

Facilitating the learning of outdoor skills during our 10 day wilderness backpacking trips, ensuring a physically and emotionally safe environment, and creating values-forming and inclusive experiences for adolescents.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Previous instructional experience in backpacking, commitment to diversity, sound judgment, clear background check/drug screen, safe driving record, and 21+ years of age by start date. Candidate must be available mid-May through mid-August. Preffered Candidates will carry current W-EMT or WFR certification, but we are willing to cover training cost for the right candidate. $60-$90/day, depending on prior tripping experience and current W-EMT/WFR certification.
