The Summit Environmental Education Center at Haw River State Park is the only residential environmental education program in the NC State Park system! The Summit is an outdoor education center located at Haw River State Park, in beautiful Browns Summit, near Greensboro, NC. We’re seeking dedicated, creative, fun outdoor enthusiasts with high-energy to become Summit instructors. Summit instructors work with children ages 7 to 18 years old. You will gain outdoor education experience in Piedmont Wildlife, Animal Adaptations, Wilderness Survival, Orienteering, Teambuilding, Soils and Wetlands Ecology. The position is a seasonal position with the NC State Park System. A four year degree is required. Start Date is May/June – ending November 21st, 2017, with the possibility of re-hire in February 2018. There will be a two or three-week non-paid summer break during the month of July. Your employment will include: salary of $10/hr with housing/utilities for only $30 a month if interested.
Position Start Date:
Monday, May 15, 2017
