Job Description:

Friends of Sausal Creek (FOSC) is seeking an Education Specialist to lead our summer environmental education programs, with a possibility of extension through the 2016-17 school year. This new staff person will work with three high school Team Oakland groups each week for six weeks this summer, and lead programs for Oakland Parks and Recreation summer campers in Joaquin Miller Park in Oakland. Activities with both groups include environmental lessons, habitat restoration, and environmental education projects in the redwoods and along the creek, and native species propagation at FOSC’s native plant nursery in Joaquin Miller Park.
