Planet Bee Foundation is an environmental education nonprofit looking for creative, energetic individuals to teach and help expand their educational programs within the San Francisco Bay Area. They provide on-site interactive workshops to schools, nonprofits, community gardens, museums and environmental centers at no or low cost, focused on honey bees, conservation, and citizen science. Lessons include an observation hive filled with live bees as well as engaging students in fun hands-on activities such as games, microscope dissections and making seed balls. Our citizen science program, ZomBee Watch, is project-based and involves students in cutting edge research about bee decline through fun interactive experiments. Educators will also learn to become beekeepers, since some of our programs have campus beehives!
