Horseback Riding Director

Responsibilities: The Horseback Riding Director will be in charge for the maintenance and care of the barn and the horses, as well as instructing children between the ages of 6 and 17 at various levels (beginning through advanced). We teach English hunt-seat riding.
Qualifications: At least 21 years old, with extensive riding and teaching experience. A background including barn management and horse care is strongly preferred. CPR and First Aid certification are required by the beginning of camp.
Benefits: Competitive salary with one full day off each week. On-campus housing, meals in our whole foods dining hall, and access to laundry facilities provided.
Dates: Position is from May 31st to August 13th, 2018. In addition, some positions require attendance at a training clinic. Please see our website, www.enf.org, for clinic dates.
Who We Are: Eagle’s Nest Camp is a coed camp over 90 years old, located in the lush mountains of Western North Carolina. Eagle’s Nest provides a strong, nurturing community where campers ages 6-17 are treated with respect, honor, and compassion. Campers have the opportunity to participate in a 1-3 week long sessions which emphasize the wilderness, arts, and community. Our mission is an experiential education for young people, promoting the natural world and the betterment of human character.
