Glacier National Park protects and preserves a diverse and striking landscape teeming with life. The Division of Interpretation offers GS-05 interpretive park ranger positions in both the West Lakes District (west side) and Hudson Bay District (east side) from late May into September (beginning and ending dates may be flexible). The incumbent will independently research and conduct formal and informal interpretive programs that facilitate connections between visitors and resource meanings. Programs vary in length, subject matter, audiences, and format. They may include shuttle tours, walks, hikes, talks, and multimedia evening programs. Additional responsibilities may include performing roving assignments, providing orientation and information at visitor centers, and completing assigned tasks that support district operations. Duties may be performed on or offsite at locations designated by the park (i.e., trails, campgrounds, visitor centers).
