Potomac Valley Audubon Society is seeking a Program Director to oversee all educational programs including program planning, delivery, preparation of materials, training and supervision of program staff and volunteers, and evaluation of programs. The position will include responsibility for youth programs (school, summer camp, family activities) and adult programs (Master Naturalist, teaching trainings, natural history workshops, birding activities, and monthly programs. The Program Director will report directly to the Executive Director and directly supervise the PVAS Program Staff (youth, adult, camp). Qualifications include a Master’s Degree or equivalent experience with a background in education, ecology, environmental or natural sciences; training or experience in working with children and adults in formal and non-formal settings, experience with curricula development and evaluation, and experience with nature-based education for teachers. This is an exempt, full-time, year-round position with paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave, and a flexible work environment. Potomac Valley Audubon Society is located in the Eastern Panhandle region of West Virginia, close to Washington DC.
