The successful candidate will possess strong customer service and public relations skills, as well as a desire to teach the public about the Nature Center and local environments. The duties and responsibilities for this position include: Greet visitors/students, provide basic information about the Nature Center and its programs, learn and share information about the wildlife and plants that call the Nature Center home; Assist in facilitating programs, including school tours, summer camps, and nightwalks; Perform public relations functions, as necessary; Work with various educational animals, including reptiles and insects; Answer phones and assist with class registrations; Operate a cash register, record bookstore transactions, and keep accounting records; Perform occasional light office duties and inventory processing; Drive to offsite meetings and/or trainings; Perform other related duties as assigned.
