Summer Camp Job Opportunity
Pacific Science Center and Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center
Do you love inspiring children by teaching awareness, understanding, and appreciation for the natural world? Pacific Science Center is looking for educators to teach science-based environmental education camp programs at the Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center in Bellevue (MSEEC). MSEEC Educators teach awareness, understanding, appreciation, and a sense of stewardship for the natural world.
MSEEC is located on a biologically diverse 320-acre wetland near downtown Bellevue. The park offers trails for hiking, a slough channel for canoeing, and fields for running around. Our camp themes range from wildlife to survival skills, nature art and watershed ecology for students in grades PreK-8. Many of our camps for grades 3 and up go on daily field trips in vans to other local parks, streams, beaches and trails. Some camps include hiking, overnight camping, rock climbing, environmental engineering or water quality chemistry. Experience with one or more of these would make you an ideal candidate.

We are accepting applications for the following positions:
Camps Lead Teacher
Camps Assistant Teacher
Position Start: Training begins June 19, 2017 and camps can run through September 1, 2017
Job Status: Full Time (40 hours per week), Temporary
Compensation: $13.00/hr. Aide, $13.50/hr. Assistant Teacher; $14.50/hr. Lead Teacher
Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center is a collaboration between the City of Bellevue and Pacific Science Center.
