Job Description:

Schools and Outdoor Learning Environments (SOLE) is a program designed to connect 4th grade classrooms in 40 schools across Colorado to local field trip opportunities and connect their families to the outdoors. Information about the program can be found at www.cpwsole.com

This position serves as one of the team of temporary educators for the SOLE program. This will include providing family events across Colorado, working closely with other education staff to design and deliver programs, as well as providing extensive support for the 2017 Colorado Outdoor Adventure event at Cherry Creek State Park in September 2017.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • A bachelor’s degree in education, wildlife, natural resources, history, recreation, park ranger technology, biology, or other related field. • Experience working in formal (K-12) or non-formal (zoos, museums, nature centers, etc.) education. • Customer service experience. • Strong writing and organization skills. • Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, and travel around the state.
