Job Description:

Under the supervision and guidance of the Outreach Division Supervisor in collaboration with the Department Head of Forest and Rangeland Stewardship, serve as the Liaison between Warner College of Natural Resources (WCNR)/Colorado State University (CSU) and the Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS). Foster and facilitate partnerships across WCNR, CSU and beyond by having a frequent and consistent presence on campus and within the Forest Rangeland Stewardship (FRS) Department. Uniquely serving both WCNR and CSFS, this position will provide leadership, facilitate and coordinate student internships and relevant experiential learning opportunities for WCNR students and interested community members. Provide a linkage between WCNR forestry-related research and the applied science utilized by the CSFS so field practices are scientifically based and field forestry needs inform researchers.  Additionally, this position will co-instruct practical field skills courses within the FRS department, will co-advise the CSU student chapter of the Society of American Foresters (SAF), and supervise the CSFS Volunteer Coordinator to further CSFS outreach through participation in CSFS Outreach Division initiatives.

Required Job Qualifications:

-A Bachelor's degree in a natural resource management/forestry or other related field curriculum; and
-Four years of professional forestry/natural resources experience.

OR

-Master’s degree in a natural resource management/forestry; and
-Two years of professional forestry/natural resources experience.

Additional Requirements:

-Four years of professional forestry/natural resources experience.
-Ability to operate and oversee the maintenance of vehicles and forestry equipment.
-Perform strenuous outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions.
-Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license or access to a licensed driver by the employment start date.
