Positions begin in August 2016 and will provide outreach and education to youth in Jefferson, Berkeley, and Morgan Counties in West Virginia. This includes teaching in the formal classroom (watershed program as well as other topics for PK-5th grade), leading programs at Yankauer Nature Preserve, programs at local libraries, summer camp, preschool groups, working with other local youth-serving agencies, and similar duties. Other activities may include new program development, work at Yankauer, Stauffer's Marsh or Eidolon Nature Preserves, or capacity building in underserved areas. Positions are 35-40 hours a week, for a minimum of 1700 hours over the entire year of service. Programs may be scheduled during the weekday, evening, or weekends. Fluency in Spanish is helpful, but not required.

Lifebridge AmeriCorps members are volunteers in service to America and receive a yearly living allowance of $12,530, paid monthly. At the successful completion of the year, an educational award of $5730 is available. This educational award can be used for student loans or educational fees. Other benefits include health insurance, travel reimbursement to AmeriCorps trainings, federal college loan forbearance, and child care (for those who qualify).
