The 9-month (March - Nov.) Youth and Visitor Education Internship is an integral part of the Education team, which develops and delivers educational programs primarily for school and youth visitors as well as professionals, adults, and families. The intern plays an important role in organizing a 6-week summer program (ACLAMO) as well as an annual outdoor career fair for High School students. The intern works with education staff to direct the activities of Education volunteers including training, workshop planning, and program support. The Youth and Visitor Education Intern meets regularly with volunteers and other professionals to plan, coordinate, and evaluate programs. The intern communicates with the public through newsletter articles and a monthly volunteer publication.
Whoever is selected for this part-time position should expect to work upwards of 40 hours a week depending on operational need. This position pays $15.00 an hour.
