Hours for Learning Activity:1 learning hour
Date and Time:
Thursday, March 21, 2019, 3:00pm to 4:00pm
In the March 2019 installment of NAAEE's monthly webinar series, we heard from three experts exploring research, strategies, and benefits of connecting people to nature: Louise Chawla, University of Colorado; Lauren Watkins, Impact by Design; and Sheila Williams-Ridge, University of Minnesota.
Our featured experts dove into the research about why it's important to connect people to nature, explored strategies and tips for reaching different audiences, and discussed the role that nature connection plays in fostering stewardship behaviors—with the ultimate goal of helping you think about how your programs can better connect people to nature and make positive impacts toward conservation.
This session also kicked off NAAEE's new professional development webinar series presented in partnership with the US Forest Service!
