What: A 45-hour accredited* experiential, reflective, course about inquiry for Middle and High School teachers.
When: Sunday, July 14 thru Thursday, July 18, 2019
Where: NorthBay Adventure Camp on the Upper Chesapeake Bay in North East, MD.
Why: Teachers find this course fun, inspiring and restorative, and leave with fresh ideas about inquiry and action to use with their students.
Cost: $350.00 includes instruction, adventure, housing, meals and more.
What You Will Do:
- Snorkel in the Chesapeake Bay
- Assess and compare the water quality of local waterways
- Network with like-minded educators
- Conduct inquiry that leads to an action
- Visit the Havre De Grace Promenade
- Adventure on the zipline, giant swing, rock wall
- Enjoy a private screening of Freshwaters Illustrated films
- Take a peek at a new curriculum: UPRIVER: Exploring Watershed Citizenship
- Integrate social emotional learning practices
