Introducing Florida Tech’s REU Site: Statistical Models with Applications to Geoscience (SMAG)

Florida Tech is now seeking applications from undergraduate students for its Summer ’21 NSF-sponsored REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) program in statistical modeling and the geosciences (SMAG). The goal of this REU program is to provide students who have little or no prior research experience, particularly female and minority students, with an opportunity to participate in meaningful and challenging research.

Environmental Service-Learning (ES-L) has emerged as a promising area of theory, research, and practice, with contributions from the fields of EE and Service-Learning (S-L). In this roundtable, participants will review and discuss contributions from these two fields, both shared and unique, to an evolving conception of ES-L.
