The Education and Outreach Associate is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality youth education programs to schools and community groups. We are seeking a qualified candidate with interest and experience in delivering environmental education programs and developing new programs focused on fostering a connection with nature.
The Cumberland River Compact in Nashville, Tennessee has launched a webpage with science lesson plans designed specifically for virtual and hybrid learning. Each lesson includes content that can be presented in asynchronous and synchronous learning time. Lessons span K-12 science and environmental education concepts.
The Education Coordinator participates in a yearlong term of AmeriCorps service (1,700 hours) to support all aspects of Cumberland River Compact’s (CRC) Youth and Community Education programs, which serve more than 8,600 community members and 1,850 youths each year. Service will begin in August 2019 in Nashville, TN.
