The National Park Service and River Network are pleased to announce a grant opportunity to fund projects that develop and/or expand “on-water” education, recreation, and/or cultural preservation programs for youth and young adults. Supported projects will include diverse partner organizations that work together to enhance and expand availability of recreational, educational, and cultural preservation opportunities and programming for youth and adults on land and on water.

Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is looking to hire one full-time intern position from January to May 2019. The internship is unpaid but will provide on-site shared housing and a living stipend of $25/working day. The park is located between the towns of Munising and Grand Marais in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The position will be stationed at the park’s headquarters office on Sand Point Road in Munising and will report to the Education Specialist.
Do you like to play in the snow? Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is recruiting up to three winter interns to assist with snowshoe field trips and weekend hikes. The internship time period is early January to mid-March with the opportunity for extension based on student academic requirement needs.
Glacier National Park, located in northwest Montana, is hiring seasonal GS-04 interpretive park guides to present a diverse collection of formal interpretive programs (e.g., guided hikes, boat tours, interpretive talks) on the park's natural and cultural history. Park guides will also conduct informal interpretation in visitor centers and field settings. Most positions run from late May through September. Application deadline is Wednesday, January 10, 2018.
