Candidates must be fluent in Spanish; this position will be teaching in CitySprouts’ Spanish immersion partner schools in Boston and Cambridge. CitySprouts is hiring an outdoor educator! Applicants must have experience in either formal or informal education, such as nature-based or environmental after school, summer, or as a teacher or assistant teacher in the classroom. We're seeking someone fluent in Spanish who will serve in our dual language partner schools.
The Garden Educator is part of a team of educators responsible for implementing the CitySprouts program at 3-4 public schools in Boston and/or Cambridge. Educators teach STEM lessons in K-5 garden classrooms during the school year and the Young Leaders Program (6-8 gr) during the summer. Base Annual Salary: $40,000 + benefits (see description)
The Garden Educator is part of a team of educators responsible for implementing the CitySprouts program at schools in Boston or Cambridge. Each Garden Educator is assigned to 4 schools during the school year, working with teachers and their students twice weekly in the school garden or classroom through the school year in June. During the summer, the Garden Educators leads a site in the summer program for middle school-aged youth. The Garden Educator reports to the Director of Programs.
