As part of MSU Extension (MSUE) and the Children & Youth Institute (CYI), this position provides leadership for managing 4-H programs, volunteers and youth participants. In this position, you will conduct programming with youth and adult audiences, recruit and train volunteers to conduct programming with youth and will analyze data for impact evaluation efforts.
As part of MSU Extension (MSUE) and the Community, Food and Environment Institute (CFEI), the leader of the MSU Tollgate Farm and Education Center will work as the Tollgate Director and will provide on-site leadership for a full/seasonal team of almost forty (40) individuals delivering nationally recognized place-based education from a 160-acre historic university owned/leased farm property located in Novi, Michigan.
As part of MSU Extension (MSUE) and the Community, Food and Environment Institute (CFEI), this position provides leadership and expertise in Michigan Sea Grant Education programs. In this position, you will identify, design, implement and evaluate research- based programs that meet outreach needs related to Great Lakes literacy and community resiliency through place-based education. Through your leadership, you will lead Michigan Sea Grant Extension programs in Southeast Michigan.
MSU Extension Tollgate Farm and Education Center encompasses 160 acres of farm, field, pond, and forest. The center hosts school field trips, summer camps, early childhood programs, and a variety of other programs and events. The Farm Sprouts Preschool at MSU Tollgate Farm and Education Center connects young children to local food and the natural world through hands-on experiences in the outdoors, building a foundation for future learning and stewardship.
We are seeking a Day Program Camp Coordinator to further the mission of MSU Tollgate through the planning and delivery of day camps. This individual will coordinate all aspects of our summer camp programming including recruiting counselors, supervising counselors, planning programming, managing registration, ensuring compliance with MSU and 4-H policies, and creating a safe, fun, and educational experience for youth for the nine weeks of summer.
