The Early Childhood Education Program Coordinator is a part time position (August-June) that supports Irvine’s Early Childhood Education programs including The Nature Preschool. The primary role of the Program Coordinator is to work closely with the Director of Early Childhood Education (ECE) to conduct health screens of program participants, and manage enrollment in ECE programs. The Program Coordinator reports directly to the Director of ECE.
Position Summary: The Director of Marketing of Irvine Nature Center is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive marketing and communication plan for the organization, telling its story effectively. The comprehensive plan includes increasing external visibility and participation in all the organization’s programmatic activities, maintaining the brand and content of the organization’s publications, advertising, digital tools and promotional materials.
Irvine Nature Center is looking for two weekend Nature Birthday Party Leaders to provide fun, educational nature birthday parties for kids ages 3-10. There are several themed parties including Wild Things, Woodland Fairies, and Barnyard Bash. Experience with children in a teaching setting preferred, as parties have up to 20 party guests in attendance. Enthusiasm is a must! Training will be provided, including training to work with live animals, which are part of the party experience.
Irvine Nature Center is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and organized individual to prepare for and lead hands-on, outdoor environmental education for after-school programs, with elementary aged children. This position will be responsible for the supervision of program volunteers and interns.
Irvine’s Education Administrative Assistant is a part-time position (30 hours/week) that supports the education department. Primary responsibilities include scheduling programs, processing registrations, database entry, phone support and other administrative tasks associated with Irvine’s programs and special events. The administrative assistant reports to the Director of Education.
Irvine’s Environmental Educator is primarily responsible for planning, developing and leading a wide variety nature-based education programs for children and adults in Baltimore County and City. This includes leading occasional overnight campouts for school groups and team-building experiences for adults. This part-time position (~30 hours/week, including some Saturdays) reports to Irvine’s Manager of Urban Education and Outreach Programs.

The class is a deep dive into Piedmont native communities, forest exploration, ancestral knowledge, and wetlands. The educator will assist in planning, facilitating, and documenting weekly investigations, incorporating large amounts of hands-on outdoor exploration.
The Visitor Services Coordinator is responsible for greeting visitors, assisting with check-in and registration for educational programs, gathering contact information from visitors, answering phone calls, managing Nature Store inventory and assisting with routine workplace operations. This position is part-time and reports to the Director of Operations.
