As the Nisqually Land Trust Community Engagement Member, the AmeriCorps member will help us increase and diversify the network of people who learn about and help steward our lands. There is a special emphasis in this position on outreach to underserved community members who have not traditionally had as much opportunity to experience nature. The Community Engagement Member will assist in the implementation of programs that facilitate outdoor education and habitat stewardship opportunities.
The Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust will sponsor one Volunteer Associate position through AmeriCorps. As part of the Stewardship team, the Volunteer Associate will mobilize volunteers and gain natural resources management experience in a blend of forest and riparian ecosystems from Seattle to Central WA. They will serve closely with our partners and volunteers to conserve and enhance the landscape by maintaining trails, combatting invasive weeds, and installing native plants.
