Environmental Education interns are a valued part of Shaver’s Creek’s staff and participate in all aspects of the nature center’s operation.

The Environmental Education AmeriCorps Member is an integral part of Shaver’s Creek’s School Programs team. The member teaches and assists with the development of our environmental education school day programs from August 2022 to June 2023. This position works with Shaver’s Creek’s School Programs Director and environmental education interns to provide outdoor environmental science experiences at Shaver’s Creek and nearby elementary schools.

Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center is seeking to hire an AmeriCorps member to teach and assist with the development of our environmental education school day programs from August 2021 to August 2022. AmeriCorps is a National Service Movement that engages thousands of Americans of all ages and backgrounds in a domestic Peace Corps. This position will help to provide outdoor environmental science experiences at Shaver’s Creek and nearby elementary schools.
