The SEE assists the Lead Educator (LE) and the Education Department with developing and implementing interpretive and educational programs. The primary responsibility of the SEE is to lead Pine Bush-centered interactive, hands-on, in-person, and virtual education programs to a diversity audience from pre-K-adult, in alignment with the APBPC Mgt. Plan and Community Connection Initiative.

The primary responsibilities of the Science Education Specialist (SES) are to assist the Education Department in incorporating science and STEAM themes into programming, publications, online and print media, to develop ways for the public to access and interact with Albany Pine Bush data sets and to lead education and interpretive programs. The SES also has responsibility for overseeing the Volunteer Naturalist Program. The SES is supervised by the Education Program Manager (EPM).
