The Director of Education is the visionary leader and representative of the Greenacres Education Department both internally and externally. This role leads the three divisions of Education: Arts Education, Agriculture Education, and Environment Education. The Director of Education is also a member of the Greenacres Leadership Team and will play a critical role in strategic decision making and operations.
If you enjoy collaborating with teachers and creating and delivering educational programming that gives students an exciting and enriching experience while using the forest, streams, ponds, and fields as your classroom, you might be a Greenacres person.
The Environment Educator role is a team position and requires flexibility with schedules, programming, and traveling between education sites. Your primary focus will be in the development and implementation of curriculum for school group field trips and week-long summer day camps. You must be willing to provide hands-on teaching experiences, collaborate across the education department, and deliver high quality programming.
The Environment Education Manager will build a team of Expert Environment Educators who are motivated to share their love of the environment with our community but primarily children. The Environment Education Manager will develop plans, processes, procedures and set goals that are consistent with building an EEE team and implementing the mission, vision, and values of Greenacres. The Environment Education Manager will be responsible for the development of each team member.
The Water Quality Educator (WQE) is responsible for developing and conducting education programs, camps and workshops for school age students and adults. In addition, the WQE will develop and utilize volunteers, maintain the River Education Center facilities and stay current in the water quality field. The WQE will assist the Director in the development and scheduling of education programs that reflect the mission of Greenacres.
