Baker University Wetlands in Lawrence, Kansas is seeking an Education and Outreach Specialist (EOS). This position is responsible for developing, planning, coordinating, and providing educational programs at the Baker University Wetlands and Discovery Center to a diversity of audiences, including children, teachers, community groups, the public, and those with disabilities or special needs.

The primary responsibilities are to develop and provide an education program to visitors to the Baker Wetlands; cultivate, maintain, and expand our Friends of the Wetlands group; coordinate operation of the Information Desk and Gift Shop; develop periodic notices to the public through website, internet, Facebook, and other social media to promote activities and events at the Baker Wetlands. Take on the oversight of all fieldtrips that utilize the Wetlands. Maintain and care for live animals.
