Join Sarah R. Johnson, environmental education specialist at Wild Rose Education and PolarTREC educator from Carbondale, Colorado alongside her Arctic Ocean expedition in late March 2022 to learn how scientists collect weather, climate, and sea ice data amidst the frigid Arctic challenges.
Using the unique online alternative format approved by the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, this LNT Trainer Course will dive into the 'why' of LNT skills and ethics as well as spend considerable time with techniques for effectively facilitating learning opportunities to share these low impact practices with students of all ages.
Through interactive discussion-based online learning experience, participants in a virtual course from Wild Rose Education will gain a stronger understanding of federal land designations, history of these lands, and the context in which these places were protected.
