A Repair Fair is a match-making event that pairs items needing fixed with volunteer repairers or “fixers” to attempt to repair anything from bikes to clothing, to electronics. The Carleton College Sustainability Office started hosting Repair Fairs in 2017 as a way to keep usable goods out of the landfill and to teach students and community members how to repair their items before buying new.

There are crucial energy and climate policies being passed at the state legislative level that will either reduce or exacerbate climate change and ecosystem damage.
This initiative, created with the support of over 60 national higher education associations, helps students connect to state-level policy where progress can happen more easily than at the federal level. The initiative helps students build their democracy skills and create positive impacts.
