This person would be responsible for managing current projects and programs in the southern Connecticut portion of the Housatonic River watershed, as well as developing and maintaining partnerships, and developing ideas for new conservation efforts in the area.

Corazón Latino and HVA are seeking applicants for a Summer Fellowship position, based out of Cornwall Bridge, Connecticut. This position will require regular weekend work (workweeks will be made up of 2 weekend days and 3 midweek days). The duration of the Fellowship will be approximately 12 weeks, (June through August). HVA is seeking applicants for our River Stewards of Tomorrow Internship positions, available for summer 2022. River Stewards will work on a variety of projects related to water resource management, wildlife conservation, and land protection. River Stewards will be based out of the office in Stockbridge, Massachusetts office and work mainly in Berkshire County, with potentially work in Columbia County, New York and northwest Connecticut.
The Still River Connections Crew Leader will manage a team of youth as they learn about environmental stewardship and implement restoration projects in the Danbury (Connecticut) area. They will also play a key role in a rain garden project in which rain gardens will be installed at Habitat for Humanity homes and then will be maintained by the Connections crew throughout the summer. The Crew Leader may have the opportunity to work with other HVA seasonal staff on other education and outreach initiatives.
HVA and Corazón Latino are partnering in 2022 to hire and manage a Summer Fellow. This person will work alongside the River Information & Outreach (RIO) Stewards on the weekends, promoting sustainable site use at popular Housatonic River recreation areas. During the week, they will work with both HVA and Corazón Latino staff to design and implement community outreach and engagement strategies for western Connecticut. Some remote work possible.
