The Housatonic Valley Association (HVA) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to teach and lead a crew of high school youth on environmental restoration work in the summer of 2021. The Crew Leader will be responsible for teaching watershed science and supervising a crew of students as they work on and learn from restoration projects throughout the Danbury, Connecticut area. Specific restoration projects may include, but are not be limited to: invasive plant management
The Housatonic Valley Association is currently hiring for a full-time Southern Valley Conservation Projects Manager. This person would be responsible for managing current projects and programs in the southern Connecticut portion of the Housatonic River watershed, as well as developing and maintaining partnerships, and developing ideas for new conservation efforts in the area.
The Housatonic Valley Association, in Cornwall Bridge, Connecticut, is seeking applicants to fill 3 River Information & Outreach (RIO) Steward positions. The RIO Stewards will work 8-hour days on Saturday and Sunday for a minimum of 12 weeks. Each weekend, RIO Stewards will travel as a team among high-priority Housatonic River access sites. While at the sites, Stewards will engage with site visitors, promoting sustainable site use. Stewards will also collect data, which will help us better understand site use.

The Housatonic Valley Association (HVA) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead a small crew of young people on environmental restoration work in the Still River Watershed of Danbury, CT during the summer of 2020. This is an 8-week temporary position.
Connections is a youth program that provides high school students with opportunities to build personal connections to the Still River and each other by working on restoration projects. The Crew Leader will be responsible for completing restoration projects throughout the summer of 2019. In addition the Crew Leader will be a mentor and guide to student’s career development through educational programming.
