The Community Coordinator will support the Backyard Habitat Certification Program by providing support on projects with existing and new community partners. In particular, they’ll work with organizations that center the lived experience and needs of people who are Black, Indigenous, and/or people of color (BIPOC), people with low incomes, people who immigrated to the U.S., and disabled community members.

Portland Audubon’s Educator, Public Programs & Partnerships Specialist will spearhead the expansion and development of a roster of free and sliding scale public programs throughout the Metro Area, with a particular focus on increasing accessible, resonant programming for audiences who have been historically marginalized in the outdoors.

Portland Audubon in Portland, Oregon is hiring seasonal summer educators for the upcoming summer. The position runs from June 1- August 27 and will include paid training, leading 8-9 camps and 1-2 weeks of unpaid time off. Campers range in age from 1st grade through 8th grade and join a variety of nature themed camps.

Portland Audubon has several openings for seasonal educators. Lead Educators will work our spring and summer season, leading class programs, Outdoor School and nature walks, as well as developing and leading summer camps. Env Educators will lead summer camps and assistant educators will be supporting the staff to help deliver quality programs

Directly supervises the Community Programs Manager, Youth Programs Manager, Adult Programs team, Education Animal Program Coordinator, and Education Programs Assistant. Responsible for managing an education team of 8 employees and approximately 25 seasonal and contract employees.
