The Ocean Portal is a project of the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History and covers subjects concerning ocean health and conservation. Educators can find a wide variety of lesson plans and student activities from grades K-12 in the Educators' Corner to use in their classrooms. The site also contains extensive news and research on ocean life, geology, conservation, culture, and history for personal research use or as a guide for student exploration.
