As part of eePRO, our online platform for professional development, NAAEE is offering monthly hour-long webinar sessions. These webinars will be on topics of key interest to environmental education professionals in formal and nonformal settings that will help raise the bar on the quality of EE programs, expand the scope and reach of these programs, social movements, and improve the way we communicate about our field.

Trust and Public Participation

February 23, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. ET
Presented by Marc Stern, an Associate Professor in the Department of Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation at Virginia Tech

Why do you trust? Why do other people trust (or distrust) you? This webinar will explore the multiple dimensions of trust as they relate to public participation and environmental communications. We’ll discuss different sources of trust and how different forms of trust interact to enhance or detract from collaboration, negotiation, education, and persuasive communications.
