The number of nature preschools and forest kindergartens operating in the U.S. is at an all-time high according to results from a survey conducted in the summer of 2017 by NAAEE's early childhood project, the Natural Start Alliance, in collaboration with Eastern Region Association of Forest & Nature Schools , Northern Illinois Nature Preschool Association, and Washington Nature Preschool Association.
