WAEE is the statewide non-profit organization of environmental educators which supports environmental education through advocacy, networking, and recognition.
Our goal is to promote responsible environmental action through education in the classroom and in the community. WAEE strives to be an organization that promotes EE in our state, which supports the work our members are going and provides resource information, as well as opportunities for professional growth, motivation, and recognition.
Each year we host an annual conference. This year, the conference will take place at Upham Woods Learning Center in Wisconsin Dells in October. We also host a Winter Workshop and an Awards Banquet each year.
WAEE was awarded an EE Capacity Grant through NAAEE. Three initiatives were established:
Marketing & Message
Digital Presence
Professional Development: We are continuing the work started by the grant to develop networking opportunities between non-formal EE educators and nature centers.
WAEE is also an active participant in ee360.
