We are pleased to announce our first EE 30 Under 30 Changemaker grantees! Thanks to a new opportunity open to EE 30 Under 30 alumni, thirteen young leaders from eight countries will receive small grants and technical support over the coming year to implement environmental education projects that work to build low-carbon economies, create resilient communities, and protect and restore ecosystems.

The Equator Prize 2020 will be awarded to outstanding local community and indigenous peoples initiatives that advance innovative nature-based solutions for sustainable development. The winners will join a prestigious network of 245 leading community-based organizations from 81 countries that have been awarded the Equator Prize since 2002. Each Equator Prize winner will receive USD 10,000 and will be supported to participate in a series of policy dialogues and special events during the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Marseille, France, in June 2020.

Job

This position provides administrative, research, and writing support to NAAEE staff on key projects, including the Global Environmental Education Partnership (GEEP), a network of countries interested in building worldwide capacity for environmental education and sharing environmental education (EE) best practices to achieve greater reach and impact. This position reports to the Director of International Programs and to the NAAEE Executive Director, and is funded through December, 2018, with the possibility of extension.
