Passing It On is a digital storytelling project made possible by a partnership between Great Smoky Mountains Association and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This project guides students in the creation of written reports and mini-documentaries based on interviews with community elders about a Smokies-related theme.

NOAA has posted the files for a great new classroom/teacher/community workshop resource for coastal cities: Beat the Uncertainty. Planning Climate Resilient Cities. This simulation has been field-tested with many education groups and is a great way to start conversations about making cities more resilient to climate impacts.

Journey 2050 is a free agriculture education program that challenges participants to answer the question “How will we sustainably feed 9 billion people by the year 2050?” Using an inquiry based approach the program encourages students to make decisions and adjust them as they see their impact on society, the environment and the economy at a local and global scale.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently launched its annual update of EJSCREEN, the Agency's nationally acclaimed environmental justice screening and mapping tool. The updated version utilizes the most up-to-date demographic and environmental data. The Agency uses these updates as an opportunity to improve the tool based on feedback gleaned from users.
