Seeking schools with food hub elements

Hello all! I am seeking to identify and learn from K-12 schools anywhere in the country that have successfully incorporated food-hub elements into their programs.

Obviously, school cafeterias serve a lot of essential meals, but most of those come via the USDA. I'm interested in schools generating/distributing foods from other sources. Specifically, they may grow fresh produce for local families, sell or give away edible plants, host an on-campus community garden, offer healthy cooking classes, serve as a CSA pick-up location, and more.

Thanks for any names you can provide!

I have been impressed with the work of the School Food Project in Boulder Valley School District in Boulder, Colorado. They are associated with the Chef Ann Foundation that does a lot of work in this area.

Hi Chris, welcome to our eePRO K-12 group! I'm interested in your post. I live in Florida now and don't know of any schools with a food hub, but I have seen this kinds of cooperation in Connecticut between Farmers Market and schools. Hope this is useful. All best, Donna
