The Outdoor Education Director will be responsible for managing all the camp's OE program activities. The position includes a mix of responsibilities including program design, implementation and evaluation, teaching skills, administrative duties and community outreach.
The Challenge Course includes a low ropes course, climbing tower, high ropes course and a zip line. The OE Director must be very experienced as a facilitator and in running this type of challenge course.
The Environmental Education program serves over 5,000 local students and summer campers. Similar to the duties with the Challenge Course, The OE Director will be responsible for outreach to schools, scheduling field trips, excuting agreements, collecting program fees, working with the teachers and volunteers, supervising and training facilitators and ensuring that the students and teachers have a very positive experience.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a minimum of two years experience as an OE director and be physically able to meet the work demands.
