Job Description:

Duties Include:

  • Teaching Classroom Standards Based Science Programs
  • Leading Field Trips for K-8th grade students at our Nature Center
  • Developing and enhancing curriculum
  • Teaching after school Nature Club programs
  • Planning and leading summer camps for grade school and middle school students
  • Working with high school interns to develop science research projects
  • Working with volunteers
  • Nature Center site maintenance-Teaching adult workshops and full moon hikes
  • Administrative tasks relating to a non-profit organization as needed

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience teaching
  • Science background
  • Love for working with kids and adults outside
  • The ability to be serious and silly
  • A strong work ethic and ability to juggle lots of different tasks
  • Problem solving skills and ability to creatively solve problems on the spot
