Summary of essential job functions

●      Coordinate the development and execution of WWKY 3-year strategic financial plan [needs and annual fundraising plan] with Kentucky Association for Environmental Education

●      Craft compelling communications to WWKY volunteers and other stakeholders about our mission.

●      Secure financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations.

●      Research and write grants and grant reports.

●      Assist in donor cultivation and management.

●      Oversee the organization of fundraising events and programs.

●      Assist with WWKY events and other administrative duties as needed.

●      Engage in professional development opportunities that will enhance leadership, management, or other areas of WWKY.

Minimum Requirements: Passion for the mission of the organization. Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, and Google Docs or an ability to pick up new programs easily. Ability to work well remotely and as part of a team. Strong networking and interpersonal skills. Excellent spelling, grammar, typing and organizational skills and attention to detail. Background in nonprofit management, fund development, public relations, business, or a natural resource-related field is preferred. Some nights, weekends and travel will be required. Applicants living in or near Kentucky are preferred.


Compensation and Benefits: Part-time (20 hours/week), 1 year contract position with potential renewal for up to 3 years, $20,000/year with potential for growth. This position will work remotely, although travel to meetings will be required. Reimbursement will be given for costs incurred during work-related travel.

Start Date and Term: Estimated start date is July 15, 2021.  Contract is for one year, with the opportunity to renew if all parties are satisfied.
